Other Considerations

Welcome to the "Other Considerations" section of the site. There are several additional factors that are important to consider when deciding on the most appropriate type of breast reconstruction for you—factors such as prophylactic mastectomy, immediate reconstruction versus delayed reconstruction, one-stage reconstruction versus two-stage reconstruction breast implant reconstruction, radiation therapy and chemotherapy may be parts of your treatment and should be discussed with your breast surgeon and plastic surgeon during the planning of your treatment options.
