Welcome you to the "Your Journey" section of the site. Here you'll find an interactive flow chart through breast reconstruction that begins at the very start – breast cancer treatment or prophylactic treatment – and continues through the series of decisions that may face a woman along the way. These decisions may include choosing the right course of action for you – for example, breast implant reconstruction or autologous (flap) breast reconstruction, tissue matrix versus full or partial muscle coverage, and so on.
Every woman's journey is unique. If you'd like to hear from other women about their experiences through breast cancer and/or reconstruction, go to the Patient Stories section of this site.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION: Every patient is different and their reconstruction options and their results
may vary. All depictions on the site are for illustration purposes only. Whether or not you have breast
reconstruction is a decision you need to make in consultation with your physician. Only you and your
physician can determine the best option for you. Please ask your doctor to explain the benefits and
risk of various reconstruction options and whether they are right for you.
